When I I picked up this Fruits of the Harvest Recipes to Celebrate Kwanzaa and Other Holidays cookbook by Eric Copage little did I know how good this book is.
This is such an interesting book. Being of the Caucasian persuasion, I know very little about Kwanzaa. I was fascinated with all the wonderful information shared in these pages.
Besides the fact that it has everything you need to know about Kwanzaa, there’s all the wonderful food and how to celebrate with easy-to-cook traditional flavors. Celebrate a different country of the African diaspora each day by cooking only foods of that country or put together a menu for each night with foods from various lands.
There are lots of great foods from Tanzanian Fruit and Cashew Salad with Rum Cream to Broccoli and Cherry Tomato Saute with Caramelized Onions and West African Ginger Beer.
This is a 1991 hardback book in like New Condition.. Available at Eccentric Thrifter

It was rainy, hot and muggy; not a typical yard sale day, but something told me it would be a good day to go. As we left the rain stopped. Because it had kept a lot of potential yard sale hunters indoors we had little competition over the wares, making it all the sweeter for negotiations.
Along the way we found this a new sealed Travel Smart International Travel Converter for all those jet-setters with electrical needs. This is an excellent deal, I must say. I don’t travel much, but it would be packed to go if I did. in. This too, is a new sealed package with all the hardware included!
You’ve probably heard of it before, but I want you to know that the Bottom Line’s Secret Food Cures & Doctor-Approved Folk Remedies is really a cool book to have. I’ve looked this one over and it’s filled with all kinds of interesting tips and tricks, remedies and cures using items found in your home. Sometimes it’s stuff you’d never have thought to put together to make you feel better. Vinegar is now my new best friend when I think I might be getting a sore throat or cold.

Check out my personally hand crocheted red Toboggan Hat with Sparkles. It is made using a dark “tomato red” yarn that has sparkles embedded in the yarn.
As shown, this hat is 10 inches high with an 11 inch wide opening. I added the cute border for extra feminine flair. It can be worn with the scallops turned up or left down. Either way the they look great while keeping you nice and toasty..
